24 Hours in Arkansas

Y’all these last few weeks have been some of the busiest in my life!  I don’t even know where to begin but I’ve been working like crazy only to look up and see I haven’t posted in awhile!  I went to Arkansas a couple of weeks ago and I never even got to tell you about it (although if you follow me on Snapchat @orderinthekitch then you already know I was there).  Arkansas

I was in Arkansas as the second part of #TASTE15, sponsored by Best Food Facts.  They kindly flew me and several other bloggers out to go on this grand adventure.  It didn’t hurt that my bestie Phi was on the trip either!  I just love traveling with her!Arkansas

I have to say I was unbelievably impressed with some of the incredible artwork that is being housed in Arkansas.  From the Crystal Bridges Museum to the Tyson Discovery Center, we saw so many incredible works of art ranging from Warhol to Ansel Adams.  I put together a short video so you could see some of the gorgeous things we saw.  Check it out!

We got to stay in this incredibly posh hotel in Bentonville, Arkansas, which admittedly is something I never thought I would say.  The Hotel 21C was an incredibly unique and eclectic hotel that was attached to its own museum of sorts.  It was seriously one of the most interesting and fantastic hotels I had ever stayed at.  Hotel-21C-BentonvilleI was particularly impressed as well by the comfortable beds and the not-too-soft pillows.  This is a big one for me.  I am CONSTANTLY disappointed in hotel pillows for being too soft.  I hate pillows that just collapse like they are just filled with a bit of air.  These pillows were legit and I was not disappointed!  Also, can we please take a moment to just swoon over this gorgeous wallpaper?  I wish I was daring enough to have this in my house…Hotel-21C-Bentonville

I was very impressed overall with Arkansas.  It wasn’t nearly as bare and boring as I thought it might be.  It was filled with unique places and although the town was small, it was certainly not boring!  Tons of little boutiques for fun shopping, and some of the nicest people around!  I would definitely recommend putting Arkansas on your travel list!
