Present Sense Impressions: Temptations!

Order in the Kitchen Present Sense ImpressionsIn law, Present Sense Impressions are statements which describe an event while it is occurring. These posts contain my daily musings, like good finds on Pinterest, recipes I’m drooling over, and other things that I’m generally loving lately.

So with the wedding approaching and with my goal of really taking my approach to health a bit more seriously in the upcoming months, I’ve decided to start the Whole30 on Monday! So watch out and please GOD wish my luck here!  And yes, I KNOW it’s been awhile since I’ve posted one of these.  I’ve been trying to keep the recipes coming rather regularly for you guys so the other fun posts like these and The Docket have had to take a hit because of the wedding planning (yiiiiii it’s getting close!!!)

So I’ve decided to dedicate this week’s Present Sense Impressions to the heavenly foods that I wish I could stuff my face with this weekend because I won’t be able to make them again for awhile! Please eat these and enjoy them for me because I know I’ll be drooling over them while trying to enjoy my fruits and veggies.

Actually I’m really quite excited about this Whole30 thing and I can’t wait to get started. It probably helps that my bestie Phi and my sister are doing it with me, but I can’t wait to get started. So over the next month or so my Present Sense Impressions will probably be filled with wholesome goodness, which is why I think it’s only fair I give you the naughty stuff today 😉

Firstly, let’s talk about this exciting delicious breakfast I posted for Omaha Steaks for their blog, SteakBytes.  I absolutely loved making this dish and of course, full disclosure, it was a sponsored post and i received product and was compensated.  However, with that said, let me just tell y’all about this breakfast.  It was so good I ate it for dinner.  So go check it out now…I mean how can you say no to Crab Eggs Benedict with Panko “Fried” Tomato and Old Bay Hollandaise.  Get it.

I also want these Crepes for breakfast because they look heavenly, and I really really want to chow down on this GIANT Cinnamon Roll because hello #allthecinnamon.  That will probably be the first thing I have when this Whole30 is over.  I may eat it with these Granola Streusel Baked Pears on the side because ZOMG yummy.

I also want to make ALL of these upgrades to PB&J because for whatever unknown reason I can’t have peanut butter for those 30 days but hey I’ll survive.  Just please enjoy these for me but try not to brag too much mmkay?   Speaking of peanut butter can someone puhleeze make me this Peanut Butter Cheesecake with Marshmallow Frosting and Bananas so I have an excuse to just eat the entire thing??  Please?  If you bring it before tomorrow I can eat the whole thing.  Thank you in advance!

I would also like to give a shoutout to my girl at Broma Bakery because everything she makes makes me want to shove it all in my mouth, and this Salted Caramel Popcorn is no exception.  Like OMG. YES.  I want to enjoy it with some of this amazing sangria when all this is over because apparently alcohol is also not allowed.  You know what else isn’t allowed?  CHEESE.  Which is entirely horrifying to me because I would LOVE to re-make this Chicken Feta Spinach Tomato Pasta because I made it the day she posted it and YALL lemme tell you it was so.good.  Will be putting that in our regular rotation after Whole30 is done and I can have cheese again. Someone remind me why I’m doing this again?  Oh yes, WEDDING DRESS.

But lemme tell y’all…once that wedding dress has been worn and we are officially husband and wife, I can’t WAIT to start making every.single.recipe. from the Dessert for Two Cookbook.  I’m so glad I preordered it because apparently it SOLD OUT on QVC…way to go Christina!  Not at all surprised all that stuff looked freaking phenomenal and I’m stoked to make each and every recipe!  Also she’s adorable and preggo and I’m SO excited to meet baby Camille, y’all!

Okay I think that’s enough for this week what do ya say?  Otherwise I’m telling you, if I keep perusing the internet, I’m not going to be able to handle this Whole30 and that wedding dress will not be fitting.  Just sayin.
