This Week on “The Docket” (or month and a half rather!)

In court every morning, the judge calls the “docket” or the calendar for that day.  Here on the blog, “The Docket” is my weekly post that gives you a little peek into the life of the Attorney in an Apron, and what kinds of fun things are happening in my life this week!

WOW y’all these last two months have been so insanely busy. We finally got moved in to our new place (post with pictures to come) and I started a new job! I love my new job and my new coworkers so it’s all going really well!  I don’t even really know where to start or what to tell you because this has been kind of a whirlwind but I’ve been trying to keep up with everyone through my Instagram.  I won’t bore you with 1.5-2 months worth of things, I’ll just give you the highlights and let the pictures do most of the talking…

We finally got our couch in.  It was such a thing!  The couch is super long and we had to try two different stairwells to get it up here!  They even tried hoisting it over the balcony.  But it paid off because now we have it in our home and as you can see, Muggsy loves it!

I signed up for the Chopped Conference!  This will be my first food blogging conference and I’m super super excited about it!  I had been eyeing the conference for a month or so before taking the plunge and actually buying my ticket.  It will be in Kansas City and there are some awesome speakers, so if you are into that sort of thing (conferences) I suggest you sign up and join me!

Over Labor Day, my mom and sister and I went to Disney World (just like last year), and it was an absolute ball!  Mom told them we were celebrating my engagement (which was last October lol) and so they gave me this pin:

We rode all kinds of fun rides at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, and we also spent a day at Universal Studios.  I flooded my instagram with pics from the trip, so I’ll just give you a highlight:

Then on our last night in Orlando, we went to Roy’s, which you may or may not know is like my favorite restaurant in the world.  I’m utterly obsessed and am extremely sad that the closest one is like 7 hours away in Baltimore…

I mean, come on, how good does all of that look?!  I’m drooling just thinking about it!

I also have a few new additions to my closet, including these adorable Eiffel Tower shoes and this Ciao! sweater.  I love any and all things travel-themed.  Traveling is one of my favorite things to do and I always love incorporating that into my wardrobe.  Shoes Kate Spade, Sweater Banana Republic.

So those are some highlights from the last month or so.  I’ve been spending a lot of time with my mom and dad since they both also live here now.  Mom and I have visited the farmer’s market and hope to go back soon.  I get lunch with each of them probably about once a week and then a lot of time I’m working from home.  I posted my home office a bit on Instagram but I plan to do a whole post on our new place and show you how I put some Order in the Kitchen (and in the entire home).  It’s been a long process (especially with the couch) and I’m happy that this is really starting to feel like home.

Next week, I’ve got a pretty big week including a webinar and a mediation.  Busy week as usual but I like it that way.  How about you guys?

Girl, shoes at the end of the post, gorgeous! So funny story, I totally relate about moving hassles and big couches…after my hubby and I got married, I moved into his house and we had to take doors off just to get the stupid furniture to fit in, I’m thinking we’re just going to leave it for the next people when we move out…is that even a thing? lol. ALSO, I’m so glad you did sign up for chopped conference and we got to meet, you are amazing, Love you!!!
